Who are we?
The community health center is a group practice where several health care providers such as doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, a social worker, a dietician, … are working together “under one roof”. Like all other community health centers, we are using the flat-rate payment system.
How does it work ?
After signature of a contract, you can contact the community health center “De Vaart” for primary health care. You can consult all health care providers mentioned above, on site. Thanks to this contract, you do not need to pay for your visits in the community health center. The settlement for this happens between the community health center and the health care fund (with which you need to be affiliated correctly) themselves. This means that we receive a fixed fee on a monthly basis, per patient, from the health care fund, regardless of the number of visits. This system is also known as a flat-rate payment system.
How to register ?
This can be done in 5 simple steps.
1. Conditions
You are a resident of Vilvoorde and you are properly affiliated with a health care fund.
2. You make an appointment with the Reception desk
And you mention that you would like to register. This can be done by calling us or by visiting the community health center. Our contact details can be found at the bottom of this page.
3. An administrative intake
Our reception staff will ask you a few questions in order to create an administrative file.
4. A medical and social intake
The nurse will go through a medical and social questionnaire with you. Afterwards, an appointment will be made with the doctor.
5. Welcome!
You are one of our patients now. Together, our whole team is ready to provide you with the best care possible.

Accessibility
The health center is open every weekday from 8:30 till 12:30 and from 13:30 till 19:00, except on Mondays (open till 20:00) and Fridays (open till 18:30).
